More Information on EFT Tapping
If you can’t see the answer to your question here or need more information, please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.
What is a free consultation?
I offer a free initial chat so we have an opportunity to see what it would be like for us to work together, discuss what you wish to gain from having EFT therapy and what I can offer. The consultation is undertaken by telephone and there is no obligation to continue if you feel it is not right for you. The call usually lasts around 20 minutes and I will contact you on the number you provide. At the end of the consultation, we will discuss how you wish to proceed and if you would like to book your first EFT appointment. You can book your free consultation here straight into my online diary.
When are you available?
I hold online and telephone EFT sessions on Tuesdays (including evening), Thursdays, and Friday afternoons, depending on availability. I only offer in-person sessions at Norwich Wellbeing Centre on Friday mornings and I do not usually work at weekends. Please contact me to find out my current free slots which change week by week, and also be aware there may be a waiting list in place.
How do you hold a session?
I am available for confidential in-person EFT appointments at Norwich Wellbeing Centre in the centre of Norwich (Norfolk UK). If you are not in Norwich/Norfolk, I also hold sessions online (see benefits to working online) wherever you are in the UK. If there is a reason online sessions would be difficult for you, I can offer EFT via the telephone and guide you through the tapping locations by name so you don't get lost. I send my EFT Tapping Introduction Pack to you in advance of a first session, so you would have a diagram of the tapping points available.
Do you offer any discounts?
Instead of offering therapy discounts, I donate money from session fees to plant trees to help tackle climate change and offset my carbon emissions, so that we all have a healthy planet to live on in future! Check out how many trees I've planted so far here: Ecologi Chloe Swinton. If travel costs of getting to appointments are a problem for you on top of the therapy fee, I am able to provide EFT by telephone and cover all call costs (to a standard rate UK landline number or mobile), or I offer online EFT sessions.
I’ve not had EFT before – how does it work?
During an EFT session I do not touch your body – you do the tapping on yourself following my guidance, and remain fully clothed during sessions. No needles (like acupuncture) or other equipment is required. When you book a session with me, I send you a free EFT Introduction Pack on what to expect (not compulsory reading). From the first session when we start tapping, we build trust and a strong therapeutic relationship to enable us to work well together. I will listen intently as you explain what has been happening and what life is like for you. Each session is guided by you - you are in control at all times of how much and what you say, however being as honest as possible in the EFT sessions will help you greatly in working with what you wish to change through therapy. More information about EFT can be found on the EFTi website (the institution I trained with) – What is EFT Tapping? I am happy to discuss the process in more detail with you, which may help allay any fears you may have in having therapy, which I understand can be a daunting undertaking. EFT should not be used in place of conventional medical care and treatment of any medical condition.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Once EFT sessions are booked in (after the free consultation), I require 48 hours notice for cancellations or the full fee will be charged. This is because I hold the space open for you and do not take any other bookings at that time. We may be able to reschedule the session (with required notice), depending on availability. I do not charge you for any of my cancellations, which are a rare occurrence.
How does telephone or online EFT work?
I offer telephone and online EFT from the comfort of your own surroundings. This may be desirable if you work shifts or travel frequently and can’t be in the same place every week; are housebound or disabled; a carer or have other responsibilities which you are unable to leave. Whilst telephone and online EFT sessions offers the same level of support and confidentiality as face-to-face EFT, it gives you a higher level of privacy if this is what you’d prefer. I initiate the session online or by phone (to a standard rate UK landline number or mobile), on the day and time we agree. You will not be charged any call costs and the online platform is free to use. As long as you have a quiet location without any distractions, you can have your EFT sessions anywhere (within the UK), including your place of work if that suits you. Please note that I do not provide emotional support or therapy by email, by text message or on social media.
Who do you provide EFT to?
I work with a wide range of issues and experiences, with people of all ages (18 and over) and from all walks of life, across the UK. I only offer one to one EFT and do not provide couple or group therapy. Although I work part-time as a Youth Therapist, I don't work with young people under 18 in private practice.
How do you work holistically?
I have completed training in numerous areas of interest to me, as our mental wellbeing is impacted by a number of factors, such as diet, lifestyle and sleep. Depending on how we work together, I may also offer coaching exercises, counselling techniques or creative activities for example, and as desired, during EFT sessions (at no extra cost). Although I hold a practitioner certificate in hypnotherapy, I do not practice as a Hypnotherapist and will not offer hypnosis during sessions.
What do you mean by ‘confidential’?
Information disclosed by you is not shared with anyone else. However, in exceptional circumstances I may make contact with appropriate external agencies should I believe either you or someone else is in substantial danger or at risk of serious harm. This would be with your permission where possible. I may also be required by law to provide details in certain situations. I clarify confidentiality further in my Therapy Agreement which you would have access to before the first EFT session. I'm of course happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have around confidentiality, as my aim is to be as transparent as possible and for you to be safe whilst receiving support from me.
How do you keep and manage personal data?
I am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioner's Office) and my Privacy Policy describes how I work with personal details.
How do you work during COVID-19/Coronavirus?
I take precautions to enable counselling is as safe as possible at all times for everyone. There is of course a risk of any contagious illness with sessions conducted in-person, and I would ask that you do not attend if you have any symptoms or tested positive with COVID-19 or someone you live with has, and neither would I in these circumstances. I stay up to date with Government guidelines and I've undertaken COVID-19 training provided by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and have a risk assessment available to view on request. The rooms at Norwich Wellbeing Centre are large enough to ensure the chairs are two metres apart, a window is kept open a little for fresh air, hand sanitiser is available in the building and room. Telephone and online EFT is available if you would prefer less contact in an enclosed space. Please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns.
